As we usher in the depths of winter, the cold air travels from our noses into our lungs into a warm haze back into the air, and in a cycle we send off the old year once again. Are you gradually becoming numb to the daily repetitive sights as each day repeats itself day after day? Notice that your life is ordinary but full of joy.
Finding the Extraordinary in the Ordinary
Over the past year, our community members have shared stories from their lives. Tales of people connecting with nature and with each other have brought fresh inspiration and heartfelt moments.
Special is in the cracks
“I have a few reptiles living in my letter box, so today I took my Brave 8 camera with me to see if I can capture some footage. ”-----Joe Zammit（ AKASO Community Member）

”-I don't see many bugs, so they must be doing a good job....I love seeing them when I check my letterbox each day”.

-“It was dying when you found it, and if it hadn't been for you, it might have actually died in silence. Luckily it was found by you.”
-“Yes, my dog found the shipwrecked baby turtles yesterday too, and again today.”
Extend a helping hand to others.
“Looking back at this video a lot has changed in the last 6 days. The original offer was one similar to a superintendent position. Along the way, God has continued to work and through that my responsibility has gotten bigger. Now, not only will be doing the original job, but I will be tasked with running the entire site.
I have to admit all of this has been a little bit overwhelming. Just being here as a volunteer has been an experience it's self. From taking in the devastation caused by the hurricane, doing the work in the field, meeting hundreds of wonderful people and now being in an administration position it's really a lot.“
