Before exporting your AKASO 360 footage, a few quick checks can help you avoid low-quality videos, failed exports, or files that do not match your sharing needs.
Use this guide before tapping Export in the AKASO 360 App.
Check These First
1. Choose the right export type
Choose the export type based on where you plan to share or watch the video.
Reframe editing mode
Choose Reframe when you want to share your video on platforms such as:
- TikTok
- YouTube
- X
Reframe video exports your footage as a standard 2D video that can be played normally on most platforms.
Pano editing mode
Choose Pano when you want to:
- Upload to a 360° video platform.
- Watch your footage with interactive viewing.
- Keep the ability to move around the full panoramic view.
Pano Video preserves the original 360-degree experience, allowing viewers to explore different angles during playback.
2. Match resolution and frame rate to the original footage
For the best results, your export settings should match or stay below the original recording settings.
Resolution should not be higher than the original footage.
For example, if your original footage was recorded in 5.7K, you can export in 4K or 1080p. If your original footage was recorded in 4K, do not force it to export as 5.7K.
Frame rate should not be higher than the original footage.
For example, if your original footage was recorded at 30fps, do not export it at 60fps.
3. Use a suitable bitrate
Bitrate affects both video quality and file size.
For daily sharing on platforms like Instagram or TikTok, 15-25 Mbps is usually enough.
For high-quality storage or further editing, select the highest available quality.
As a rough reference, 25 Mbps is about 3.1 MB per second of video. If you have no idea which one should you choose, the highest the best.
4. Avoid low-quality preview exports
Before exporting, check the export page carefully.
Choose HD, original quality, or a custom high-quality setting when you want the final video to look its best.
5. Keep the AKASO 360 App running
During export, keep the AKASO 360 App open in the foreground.
Do not switch to another app or lock your phone, especially on iPhone. This may interrupt the export or create a damaged file.
For longer exports, make sure your phone has at least 30% battery, or connect it to a charger.
A Few Things to Know
360 Video exports do not keep reframing edits
If you export as 360° Video, effects such as AI tracking, keyframes, and free-view reframing will not be kept in the exported file.
A 360° Video export saves the original panoramic view, not the edited viewing angle.
If you want to keep your selected angle, movement, or reframing edits, export as Flat Video instead.
Final Check
Before exporting, confirm your export type, resolution, frame rate, bitrate, app status, and phone battery.
These simple checks can help you avoid failed exports, oversized files, or videos that do not match the quality you expected.
